The Colchester Tourist Guides Association (CTGA) is about providing through its activities, enjoyable experiences and an opportunity to gain a broader knowledge and appreciation of Colchester’s long history. We pride ourselves on our adaptability responding to the requirements of different audiences and within our membership there is a range of specialist skills and knowledge available which can meet almost every demand.
The Colchester Tourist Guides Association was founded over 25 years ago and now includes over fifty members and associate members. All our members are professionally qualified Blue or Green Badge Guides, and are subject to independent reassessment every five years. We emphasise professional standards in all aspects of our work and provide for our members regular opportunities for updating of knowledge and exchange of experience through talks and visits.
We like to think that we consistently provide good a quality experience for all who use our services – contact us and test us out! NEWS UPDATE. Association member Dick Barton received the Outstanding Customer Service Award 2011 from Essex Tourism November last – ie top guide in Essex!!
